Internet Explorer is the most used Browser and more than 50% of internet surfers use this. Second popular browser is Firefox. I am wondering to see stats of internet surfers on my site. More than 50% users are using Firefox. I think Firefox will be a threat for Internet Explorer in coming days. What is your favorite browser?

I use 3 browsers. One is Firefox for online transactions. I also use IE for normal surfing and website testing. I use Opera for accessing WAP sites.

Aside from those listed browsers, I use a special browser for P2P access which is designed for P2P purposes.

Since I'm also into web development where I need to test sites, I use all the above browsers mentioned not to forget the pioneer Netscape and Linux based browsers.

Why you use Firefox for online transactions? Is there something more secure? I think FF is the best browser at the moment and many sites disperses on Internet Explorer. I think People prefer FF so webmaster's preference is also FF.

Firefox is secured for online transactions. Other browsers are found to have holes which can be exploited by hackers for stealing information from your PC. There are efforts being made though by browser developers in addressing their respective browser security flaws .

I could never know this. My opinions were different and I have assumed that Internet Explorer is more secure as compared to other browsers. Anyhow thanks for the information.

I am not agreed that FF is more secure. I think we shall have to use SSL or encryption (These features are always available with authentication sites) for securing our transactions.
