I have heard that CSS built sites are more Search engine friendly and the reason is DIV tags. I am not sure about it because there are thousand rumors about SEO and it is difficult to find favorites of Search Engines. Do you have any information about it?

I think there is no edge or difference CSS and other technologies. CSS are good to manage your code and stuff in one file. I like CSS for that otherwise there is nothing SEO specific in CSS or TABLES.

CSS is intended for your site layout. With CSS you can easily change your site layout using just one file instead of individually editing your site pages.I don't it has a significant effect on search engine optimization whose area of concern is on contents.

For offsite SEO, I focus on the keywords of my text. I use CSS for my site look without thinking that it has bearing on SEO. Besides, I make sure that my URLs are SEO friendly by using Apache's MOD Rewrite feature.
