DMOZ submission

One way to promote your site is directory submission particularly to popular site directories like DMOZ. However submission to DMOZ seems to be a tall order although the submission is free. Do you have any success in your submission with DMOZ?

Webmasters could not seem to figure out the key to getting listed in DMOZ. I heard some even tried becoming a DMOZ volunteer editor but still in vain. I think it still the content. Just continue on improving your content.

There are many confusions about DMOZ. Some people said that it exists no more and some says it is not possible to get listed in DMOZ. I am totally confused about it.
